Pari Gul has been a policewoman for 7 years and is the only woman working at the checkpoint. She counts herself lucky to have the support of her male colleagues and her boss-Colonel Samsoor. Nadia will be working at a checkpoint in Kabul city when she graduates. Women in class and weapons training 38 women are currently in the class, which will graduate in 1 month’s time. Their entire training takes six months where they learn weapons, general policing and rule of law, gender and human rights training. When the women graduate they will be placed in police stations throughout Kabul city.
