DRUG REHABILITATION - AFGHANISTAN - UNODC

Following the daily life of doctors and patients in a drug rehabilitation facility in Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghanistan is one of the largest producers of opium in the world, as a result many people have found themselves dependent on the drug. The government has failed to take responsibility for the drug problem and do not support rehabilitation facilities. UNODC have established small facilities, providing drug users with a detox programme, support and medication.  Each week a team of Afghan doctors visit an area in Kabul to provide outreach care, encourage drug users to admit themselves to the rehabilitation centre and take on a 30 day programme to beat their drug addiction.
